Be Practical was founded after the Canadian Olympic Committee approached Sean to apply his background across luxury transportation, tourism, major events and sport to a business challenge beyond the scope of his existing work. The request became a defining moment, bringing together the perspectives he had developed across industries, including commercial thinking, operational problem-solving, partnerships and a focus on making ideas work in the real world.
It reinforced something he had seen throughout his career: organizations often have good ideas and ambitious goals, but turning them into a clear, workable path forward can be the harder part. It takes asking the right questions, understanding what is possible and identifying what needs to happen next.
Rather than build a consultancy around a particular industry, Sean built the business around that approach: understand the challenge, find the opportunity and figure out what it will take to move forward.
Today, Be Practical helps organizations bring clarity to decisions, find opportunities and turn ideas into action.
Sometimes you know exactly what you need. Other times, you know something needs to change but aren’t sure where to start.
That’s where a conversation can help.
Sean brings experience, perspective and a practical approach to the table. He listens to where you are, understands where you want to go and explores what might be possible.
No complicated process. No one-size-fits-all solution. Just a thoughtful conversation about your business, your challenges and where you’d like to go next.
